Organization: BCI Bank, Mozambique, one of the leading commercial banks in Mozambique.

Project Description: Implementation of a wireless system at multiple sites including internal and point-to-point Access Point with WAN Optimisation.

Technologies/Equipment: HP Enterprise APs and Controllers. Riverbed WAN Oprimisation upgrades at 180 sites.

Organization: Socremo, a micro-finance institution with branches throughout Mozambique.

Project Description: Complete deployment of a Microsoft Infrastructure displacing the previous Linux platform.

Technologies/Equipment: Microsoft Servers and Operating Systems, Dell Blade Servers, Dell EqualLogic SAN, HP Blades Switches, VMWare clustering and Veeam replication.

Organization: Cornelder de Moçambique, the port operator for the Port of Beira.

Project Description: Network infrastructure upgrade.

Organization: Cervejas de Moçambique, is a brewery which is part of the SAB Miller Group.

Project Description: IT Infrastructure upgrade.

Organization: Mozambique Leaf Tobacco, a tobacco processing facility which is part of the Universal Leaf Group.

Project Description: VoIP system upgrade and provision of DR facilities.

Organization: Riversdale/Rio Tinto Coal Mozambique: Riversdale/RTCM is operating a coal concession in Tete, Mozambique.

Project Description: Bytes & Pieces was initially awarded the contract for the full implementation of the Riversdale network in Tete. In addition, a contract was awarded for managed services of the infrastructure.

Organization: Banco BCI: Banco BCI is one of the largest commercial banks in Mozambique.

Project Description: Bytes & Pieces has undertaken a number of projects for BCI including supply of servers, WAN optimization and most recently a wireless network over 180 sites.

Technologies/Equipment: HP Enterprise AP's with Controller; 802.1X implementation. External HP Point to Multi-point Aps. Riverbed upgrades over 180 sites.

Major Applications: Specific banking applications.

Project Description: Implementation of Avaya VoIP solution in Botswana and Johannesburg with integrated WAN voice capabilities, Interactive Voice Response and call recording.

Organization: BrightRock Insurance, a leading insurance company in South Africa

Project Description: Complete design and Implementation of network infrastructure for new offices, including Data Center setup, remote site setup, security and integration to VoIP systems.

Technologies/Equipment: EMC VNX storage, Dell servers and workstations, VMWare, Veeam, Microsoft Servers and Operating Systems.

Organization: Ngwane Mills, Swaziland, part of the NMI Group of Companies.

Project Description: Implementation of a virtualized IT infrastructure upgrade for the Ngwane Mills operations including integration to existing systems.

Technologies/Equipment: Dell servers and storage, Accpac Financials and Microsoft Servers and Operating Systems.

Organization: BrightRock: BrightRock is a new insurance company with branches in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Pretoria.

Project Description: CES was awarded the tender to plan, implement and maintain the network infrastructure for the company. The network currently consists of two main sites, in Johannesburg (head office and data center) and 4 branch sites (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town.

The contract includes provision of the network infrastructure, communications, VPN links, network documentation, management of the Helpdesk, provision of hardware and Management of the Riversdale ESA contract with Microsoft.

Technologies/Equipment: EMC VNXe SAN units, servers, PCs, switches, Astaro Firewalls, Microsoft Operating Systems, VMWare, Veeam, SCCM. CES is the preferred infrastructure vendor for Brightrock.

Organization: Lonrho Management: Lonrho Management South Africa operates in five industry sectors in Africa; Infrastructure, Transport, Agribusiness, Hotels and Support Services.

Project Description: The server refresh cycle had come about and Lonrho decided to go ahead and renew their infrastructure by upgrading their servers and virtualizing the environment.

Technologies/Equipment: Dell Servers, Microsoft Operating Systems, VMWare and Veeam.

Major Applications: MS SQL, MS Exchange and various hotel management and financial software

Organization: Grand Karavia Hotel, DRC: Grand Karavia Hotel is part of the Lonrho group. The hotel is in the mining city of Lubumbashi in DRC.

Project Description: A complete hotel systems was implemented, including Servers, Storage, Workstations, Avaya Voice, Biometric systems with integration to the PMS, POS and Financial applications.

Project Description: CES provided a hardware refresh for the TATA Africa Data Centre.

Project Description: Infrastructure migration from Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 to Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 for the Harare Head Office in Harare and the Victoria Falls Hotel.

Organization: Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, responsible for the operation of the Airports in Zimbabwe.

Project Description: Deployment of Backup Exec, including Desktop and Laptop option for the backing up of all desktops, laptops and servers .
